So I am mildly freaking out...

I just got back from my parent's place in South Carolina and I am trying to log in to check out the raid/dailies progress and I am getting some sort of F'ed up message....

it says, "Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your internet configuration."

I am connected just fine, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Doing a cursory search recommends just running the launcher and eventually it will work, but after 10 tries and more than a little cursing, it is still not working. anyone ever run into this issue?

linex and peepz had the same problem...

linex is reinstalling, but i would refrain from that, give it a bit and try again.

I have also tried the "internet explorer fix" detailed here to no effect.

I am also trying to run the Repair tool as mentioned in THIS thread. I will let you know the results.

not the best evening for this to happen, dammit...

I am here and have taken tomorrow off, so I just need to have this fixed by 3...

I REALLY don't want to reinstall this beast.... <sigh>

re check your numbers in your spare time so we know we're set for tomorrow!

re-checked everything last night and I can't find a fault with the numbers I posted... my only thoughts had to do with counting trash pulls per boss to see if there was anything we could do faster... (but i still think HoO is the way to go.)


ok, I think the launcher is up...

I reset my modem and router...
Then restarted my machine...
lets hope this holds!

got the launcher to come up once, but it crash when I hit Play... <sigh>

delete your cache and wtf folders, then go into your WoW folder and launch directly from the little wow icon in there.

Back them up first just in case...

finally made it on...

No idea what exactly happened, but the issue seems to have disappeared.
